Thursday, Jul 1, 2010The Gift of Feeling Uncomfortable

You may have many pockets of uncomfortable feelings inside of you. I’ll make a list of some of them and you can indicate if one of them has you feeling unsettled. Only honesty here will help you. You cannot hide yourself from you.

I would like to share with you that feeling uncomfortable is such a gift and a blessing. It is a built in system that lets you know you have slipped off the track; you’re heading down the wrong path. It is your conscience, the unerring sentinel of your soul, telling you that you need to right yourself. It provides specific directions as to precisely what needs your attention.

In this article, we will examine those uncomfortable feelings that might be a source of concern for you and provide practical ways for you to move beyond where you’re now being held. Please read through this list and indicate if it’s a problem for you or not.

As a reminder from our last series of articles about feeling, let’s review how feelings happen in the first place. If you can understand this with a comfortable sense of comprehension, then you will be able to see precisely how to move away from the list where you said yes above.

FIRST:  A desire comes up from inside yourself

SECOND:  You begin to think about the desire and eventually reach a conclusion about whether you can have it or not in your life experience

THIRD: A feeling or absolute conviction will actually manifest the desire “physically in your life.

Your feeling uncomfortable is the period at the end of the sentence. It’s the result of what you thought to a conclusive state, and it is the only way things can manifest in your life. The way to gain control of your feeling unsettled is to return to the second position of your mental thinking process and re-think what you’ve thought there because your feeling is the automatic result of what you’ve thought deeply enough about to become convinced. The second half of this article will be posted next. It will contain the six steps you’ll need to take to correct your uncomfortable feelings.
