Wednesday, Dec 1, 2010The Meanings Of Christmas Symbols
We are about to celebrate the festival of Christmas. The name of this festival comes from the Christian religion and tradition of gathering together (mass) and celebrating the birth of Christ (reason)….hence, Christ Mass, which became Christmas. The holiday contains many symbols and I will share with you the meaning of Christmas symbols.
Virgin birth- every thought causes something. When your thought is pure, it is virgin birth, and the good ideas which you nurture and grow with your thinking become your life experience.
Persecution by the government –Fleeing a power that puts down the concept that All Is Mental would be wisdom and probably should occur individually, with quietness and discretion, just as Joseph and Mary slipped away.
Fleeing into Egypt – The Egyptians understood the power of mental causation. When you couple mental causation with the All is Good idea, you reap the benefits of the wisdom the Egyptians unfolded.
Birth in a manger – Right thinking can be born into any circumstance and into any situation where you are willing to think rightly and produce.
Angels – the beauty, strength and power of your right thinking becoming more and more accurate (like the choirs of Angels) until you achieve the goodness and fullness of your Life.
Shepherds – those who guard the flock – the flock of all your cuddly, wooly little lamblike thoughts of Truth. YOU are the shepherd, caretaking the Truths you already know.
The King of Love and Light and Peace – The individual man, the great teacher, Jesus, was blessed by his mother, Mary, who knew about the facts that all is good, all is mental, and all is individual. Jesus was not taught ANY sense of limitation by his mother, so his mental power had full exercise from his birth. We too can walk in the Light of Truth and we think thoughts of Truth and Love. We too can achieve the Peace which is called Understanding.
The Magi – Three Understanders who came to learn about more of Mind from the Master Thinker. Your own mental triune process is longing to be taught, to be used, to produce the richness and goodness of all of the dreams and desires you can recognize and only you can do this unfolding.
Enjoy this festival of Christmas now that you know the origin of Christmas and the metaphysical meaning of Christmas symbols.
Merry Christmas! May the birth of Reason within your mentality bless you with all of the abundance you can think.
